Place

A point-of-interest (POI): a specific physical location like a store, restaurant, gas station, office building, park, or venue. Place datasets describe the activity that happens at an individual location, identified by a polygon and metadata (brand, category, address).

Use place-level data when the question is about a specific location or a portfolio of locations, such as site selection, brand performance, or competitive benchmarking. When the question is about a neighborhood rather than a specific location, switch to the Area location type.

Custom boundaries

You are not limited to the pre-built location sets. If you have your own map (trade zones, sales territories, property outlines, catchment polygons), Pine59 can attribute its metrics to boundaries you define, so the data lines up with the geography your organization already thinks in. Reach out to support@pine59.com to set up custom boundaries for your account.
